INTERNATIONAL SPORT KARATE Traditional Karate athletes who wish to compete in national and world level events begin in local tournaments, and progress to regional and national tournaments held by USA Karate and the AAU. USA Karate On April 14th, 1996, the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) Board of Directors upon the recommendation submitted by the USOC Membership and Credentials Committee voted to sanction the newly formed USA National Karate-do Federation (USA-NKF) as a member. Northern California Karate Federation (NCKF)
Ramtown Karate is a charter member of the NCKF, an organization promotiong the best traditional sport karate in Northern California. NCKF dojos host tournaments, seminars, and special training sessions to give karate athletes in our area the best opportunity to compete at the highest levels of sport karate in the world. The NCKF is a leader in training judges and coaches, elevating professionalism, safety, and fairness for karate athletes in Northern California.
Ramtown Karate Sport Karate Team
Ramtown Karate's Sport Karate Team competes at all levels including the USA Open, Jr. Olympics, and the USA Karate Nationals. The Ramtown Team has had tremendous success in 2009 and 2010, taking 21 national level medals from January 2009 to April 2010. Ramtown Karate hosted the USA Karate Nationals Qualifier tournament in Dixon on March 13, 2010, and hosts the Ryukyukan Karate Kobudo Tournament in Dixon each year during the first week of November.
